The Many Colors of fetch! pet magazine

For any true fetch! fan out there, you know we like to mix it up – from the color pallet in each edition to the backgrounds and patterns we use!
From the very beginning, I knew I didn’t want the same colors in the logo every single time. Each edition has its own theme. We are currently working on our sixteenth edition of fetch! since starting in 2010!!
The spring edition usually has typical spring colors and bright patterns. Along with the spring edition comes the Rescue & Shelter Appreciation Special. We wanted those pages to stand out from the rest of the magazine, so we have used the houndstooth pattern for that special section for the last 3 years. It fits very well with what we were promoting – hounds! (and cats, horses, etc…)
The same goes with the summer edition; we keep the theme on track with the time of year or holidays such as the 4th of July.
Every fall edition also has the Hunting Special. That section also gets its own special design so it can stand out from the rest. The fall edition has gone back and forth between hunting and Halloween. That’s a hard one for me, because you know how much I love Halloween!
Besides the autumn season and all the fun colors, activities and holidays it brings, winter and Christmas is by far my favorite time of year. One of the most enjoyable aspects of designing fetch! is that I can incorporate my passion of the seasons in each edition.
CoverPageHere is a special glimpse of an edition that was never produced for the public! This was our “mock-up” that we presented to businesses at the very beginning to launch the very first edition of fetch! Sioux Falls Pet Magazine.
We couldn’t be more thankful for the fans of fetch!, seeing your pet photos and hearing your stories because we produce this magazine for you! Thank you for all your support. We hope you’ve enjoyed every edition & here’s to many more to come!
