Daisy, pictured here with her person (who asked not to be named), is enjoying good health again thanks to the AniMeals on Wheels program.
Daisy had outstanding vet bills, due to an emergency visit she required after being attacked by a neighbor’s dog. But with her bills paid, she is able to get on regular visits to the vet along with food and treat delivery. Daisy is prescribed to her person by a doctor, and is a therapy dog.
AniMeals on Wheels is a program complimentary to the Meals on Wheels program nationwide, and is made possible by Banfield Charitable Trust through Banfield Pet Hospital.
If you or someone you know would like to volunteer for this program, we are in search of anyone who wants to help, but especially cat people! Volunteers make monthly contact with their pet clients and their humans, bring food purchased by the program or donated, change litter boxes, and make transports to the vet, groomer, and boarder. Volunteering is mutually beneficial, in just a few minutes a month you can help support someone in a very important way – by helping to take care of their furr-babies!
Please call Penny or Sheila at 605-333-3302 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire. Can work in teams with friends or family members.
